Last Friday Rob organised a client event at FurstenForest in Germany. We packed our (video) cameras, and seeing as though Muddy Boots is on sabbatical until the summer, we took the more-than-capable Rusti along. Fortunately she took kindly to the frozen mud paths.
One of the other 4×4 instructors, Arthur, met us at the gate. We were welcomed by -13 deg C! Brrrrrrrrrr. Especially when you forgot about your gloves!
The guests were arriving around 9ish, so we had plenty time to set out the cones for the afternoon events; clover leaf, blind-driving and trial sections. We drove three 4×4′s to the picnic area in the middle of the bush, and got back in time for coffee and Rob’s instructional presentation.
The guests then bundled themselves into the open Volvo TGB and were ferried to the cars, especially enjoying the tank track on the way.
These photos give an idea of what the offroading-newbies got to enjoy, as well as a warm lunch. We closed off the day with drinks and a prize-giving. A very succesful day!
